Woo Hoo for 22....
Well I did it! I completed my 'peak' run yesterday in just over 4 hours. Believe it or not, I ran a bit faster than normal yesterday. After a bit of stiffness yesterday, I must say that I feel pretty darn good today. I usually never listen to anything while running but yesterday for a portion of my run, I decided to listen to a couple Podrunner podcasts and they were really super! Basically it's music at certain BPMs that you can run to, and every week there's a new mix so that you don't get burned out. I plan on using it for at least a portion of my run. Thanks Ivory (Becky) for telling me about them. Countdown....two weeks til my race.
In other news, Ella, our new baby, is such a joy but also needs a lot of attention. Let's see, so far she's scaled the dining room tables and made to the top only to crash to the floor....then after shaking it off, she repeats it over and over again. I've set Ernie and Ella's food bowls apart so that they can eat their own food.....her, the kitty stuff and him, the adult stuff. Well when she doesn't want hers, she goes up and just nudges poor Ernie out of the way and starts on his. He just sits there dumbfounded, wondering what to do. So I have started monitoring them while they eat so that she doesn't eat all of Ernie's. Poor guy. They also have taken to wrestling. It is the cutest thing but I worry about Ella because Ernie is so much bigger than she is. He usually wrestles her to the ground and they play bite or maybe they really bite each other....I haven't heard a whimper yet so I assume she's ok. She always submits to him when they play. It so sweet....she rolls on her back with her paws up as if to say 'I surrender...please don't kill me'!
Well I don't know what we'll do today. I have some homework that I'm going to go finish but other than that it will probably be a lazy Sunday....which is nice every now and then.
Thanks for stopping by...

You are my running hero. I'm now going to check out the podrunner's too! Your "kids" sound just like mine except for the fact that the one that lays on the floor begging to not die is my oldest, Bailey. Oh ya, you can picture it can't you . . .
It was sooooo nice talking with you tonight my dear girlfriend...
Congrats on the run... I wish I could be there to cheer you on for the big day. I definitely will be thinking of you!
*smooch*
