The last 4 days....

Have been a bit boring. I've been doing a lot of reading (school) and a bit of running (of course) and doing some goofy computer based training for work. ARGHHHH it is so annoying and it is taking me forever to do it...maybe because I'm a goober and don't learn as quickly as others, or maybe because it is ridiculously uninteresting....probably both. It's taking me so long to finish but hopefully I'll finish tomorrow. Once I finish it, I have to take a long course to learn how to do what I just learned how to do....goofy goofy goofy.

Today I had a performance in the cute little town of Belleville. The sky threatened to open up on us, so before we got to the place the set-up, I said a prayer for the rain to hold off so that we could do our gig...and it did! Now normally I would be praying for it to rain so that we wouldn't have to schlep all of that gear out, but today I really wanted to do the gig. I haven't had many performances with this band so I wanted to get out there and do some singing! Also with today marking the 7th anniversary of that fateful day...I wanted to pay tribute to those who lost their lives. We did our two sets, and it started sprinkling just as we were rounding home plate with God Bless America. Who knows what the next few days will be like, but I will be sure to let you know about them....

Sorry that there's not much to read about here, but my life lately has been a bit boring:(

But thanks for stopping by!
Keisha

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."
