My first two gigs...a baseball game and family

Well Friday I had my first gig with the new group that I'm with at the Scott band. I don't feel like they are "my band" yet so I will just refer to them as the "new group" at least for now. The gig was nothing like any that I've had with my TnG homies, but it wasn't bad. Here is a pic of us from Friday night. I think that I'm gonna have to stop reverting to any musical experiences from TnG and just be thankful that I have a job that allows me to be creative and do what I really like to do most of the time:) So after the Friday night gig, we left for a gig in Kansas City (on Saturday) and it was also very nice. We had quite a bit of time off in KC so we took advantage of it. On Saturday night, we went to dinner for some of the best BBQ I've had in a long time! The place was called Jack Stack BBQ....and it was RIDICULOUS!

On Sunday I woke up early and went for a run. The weather was so beautiful. The temperature was perfect and the breeze complimented it very well. Along my running route, I saw some of the most beautiful homes I'd seen in a while! So far KC was ranking very high on my list! After my run I went and showered and went for a long walk....partly to shop in their Plaza area, which is where we stayed, but also to try to get some pics of whatever looked good to me that day. While out, I stumbled upon a little Duck festival. It was a fundraising event for children. People "bid/bet" on racing ducks. Whoever had the winning duck won a HARLEY! Here are a few pics from the fest. And a few more from town....

The gig in KC went ok....I can only hope they get better.

On Monday we drove back and I went to my first MLB game!! Cardinals vs. Mets. We had the most awesome seats. We sat in Left Field Landing. In these seats, we received all the drinks, hot dogs/bratwurst and nachos our bodies could take!! The Mets lost, which had Jason pretty bummed but I thoroughly enjoyed myself. It was a very good first experience, and I'm looking forward to my next game! Thanks Jas!

My family has started to arrive for our July 4th celebration! My sister, nieces and nephews arrived yesterday and this evening my Mom and Pops arrived. Today after my 6.5 mile run, we went to the FREE St. Louis Zoo, and it was great! The weather was nice and there was a good overcast so it wasn't BLAZING HOT! My nieces and nephew LOVED the Metro. Check out a couple of pics. After a long day, I'm beat and think I'm gonna turn in now. I will write more soon! Thanks for stopping in.

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."
