40 days have gone by since....

My final gig with the best group of dudes I have worked with in the Air Force! That gig was filled with pride, excitement, lots of crazy people and yes folks....TEARS! Of course I was dreading my last gig, but I had such a nice time! From the very beginning, things at the gig were super cool and interesting. The guys somehow convinced the Bundeswher (sp) to carry me in to the tune of "Sissy Strut" like I was Nefertiti or the Queen of SHEBA! ! I was so embarassed because everyone was staring and snapping pictures. I think I was shaking the whole time. Check it out!But the fun was just beginning. There was some Azerbaijani guy stalking me the whole night. He tried to get me to eat some crazy disgusting looking dried fruit that looked more like Peacock droppings. "No WAY!" I thought...but I politely took his bottle of wine;) What can I say about the lively Italians that John almost KILLED for trying to dance with me. They were funny! Everybody wanted a picture....I felt like Beyonce!

Through all the fun and excitement, it started to hit me that this was it....no more gigs with this crew, possibly EVER. And then they started...the water works. I'm such a baby and I could barely finish the gig. Thanks Mark for putting in more Geoff tunes while I blubbered...I miss you guys so much!
So today, I woke up and ran a fantastic 5 miles. It felt good! After that I went to work and had rehearsal and left early because one of the vehicles came in today! YAY! After picking up the truck, we came home and I worked a little more in the house. It seems that that is all I've been doing lately! But the house is going to look great sooner or later. We haven't painted, simply because I have no idea what colors to choose. With my luck, we'll get everything put up and then I'll know exactly what colors I want....anyhoo. I took a couple more pics of the house. This time our loft that we have lovingly renamed "The Lounge". This room is going to be used for reading, relaxing, doing homework, listening to music....just whatever. I love it! The colors are great and it's very cozy. My pictures don't do it any justice simply because my photography is not very good, but I'm working on it.

Well I am headed off to bed now because I am tired! I'll write more tomorrow. See ya then! Hugs!

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."
