Almost Home
Well after spending a few much needed rest days in Panama, we are on the home stretch. Woo hoo! I stayed with some friends from the ship in Panama and we had a great time. Most of my time was spent relaxing and of course doing what I love to do the most. Shopping! Woo hoo! I bought a few items that I hope will get some use soon after returning home since my on ship wardrobe is pretty much set in stone. We have been doing lots of cleaning onboard ship since leaving Panama. Scrubbing, waxing, scrubbing, scrubbing, scrubbing etc. Nothing much is really happening other than that. We had a ‘steel beach’ party with lots of junk food, b-ball playing and music. It was pretty cool that we were able to have a picnic as we were traversing the Panama Canal. I still didn’t get any pictures so I guess I will have to bum some off of some of the folks here. I am going to get to see my Mom in a few days because she is coming onto the ship and sailing with us back to Norfolk. She’s so exited, and so am I. I know that she is going to hate the trek to and from the galley (the place we eat) because if you remember, there are 97 steps. One way. Phew. Get you walking shoes on Mom. I hope that she also quickly adjusts to her tiny rack below me. It’s a trip. Just don’t bang your head like I’ve done a few times too many. And if for some reason you decide to roll in your rack Mom, your 6 inch fall won’t nearly hurt as much as my 3 foot fall would. I think she’s going to have a great time. There are several things in store for the Tigers when they come aboard. I’ll be sure to keep you guys updated as to what those are after they happen; both in writing and with photos.

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."
