*1,558 pairs of glasses and sunglasses were given out

*The Seabees (the civil engineers aboard), went in to renovate the General Hospital Pharmacy and Dormitory and here's what they did.

*Constructed 12'x12' office space
*Installed 990 SqFt of plywood over existing floor in 6 rooms and hallway

These do not mention all of the things accomplished by everyone here on the ship...it is only a glimpse but a pretty good view of how awesome a team can be when we are all on the same accord.

As we leave Haiti, I think of all the people that I had the pleasure of singing to during my non-mission (volunteer) performances with Aaron. I am so happy that if only for 10 minutes, we were able to bring a smile to the faces of those who probably have spent so much time worrying about their specific ailment...we were able to possibly make them feel like they had no medical problems...and that everything was alright.

As we prepare to go onto location number two, I am thinking of ways to up the anty to make things even that much better...for me and for the patients....

Thanks for stopping by....
Keisha

Keisha - thank you so much for your updates! We have tried to get a response from St. Louis media 3 times - 2 TV and 1 radio station to pass on all the wonderful things you are doing. We have had no success. Anyway, we are proud of you and tell everyone we talk to the wonderful things you are all doing. Tell Aaron "hi" from mom and blessings to you all as you go on to the next stop!

Hi Keisha, I am Chad's wife and he shared your blog with me. I'm glad he did. I am only getting the short version of these stories from him, maybe it's a guy thing. :) I hope you are able to keep up with this during the trip. Thank you for sharing. Take care.

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."
