Happy December folks!

I absolutely love December! Maybe it's because I know that Christmas is lurking around the corner and boy do I love Christmas....or that all of those resolutions that I didn't keep throughout the whole year can be resurrected in a couple of weeks....I don't know, but I love December. It always promises (depending where you live) cold, crisp mornings that cause your cheeks to tighten when the air hits them. On Monday, the first day of December, we got our very first snow! It was kind of exciting to look outside and wonder if the snow was a sign of more snow to come this month....well it's Wednesday and there is no more snow, but who knows what'll happen over the next couple of weeks. I hope it snows on Christmas.
I must say that I had a great week last week spending some much needed time with my friends back in Germany. It was such a pleasant trip and while it was short, I got to see a bunch of folks and do quite a bit of stuff. It was such a pleasure spending some QT with my girl Becky. Thanks for your hospitality Becky and Jesse! I got to go to my favorite restaurant in Germany, PHUKET pronounced FOO-KETT for all of you who have cussing on the brain. It was just as good as I remembered. I also went to my favorite clothing store in Germany, H&M, and my favorite shoe store, DEICHMANN, I bought something at both places of course. I also got to have a glass of Gluhwein and a delectable crepe with Nutella and Banana....oooooo my mouth is watering just thinking about it. Thanksgiving was an amazing day filled with tons of laughter, conversation, food and oodles of LOVE! It was an amazing day, and I will remember it forever. The day after Thanksgiving, Becky and I hung out during the day and in the evening I had a 'reunion gig' with my band brothers in the small town of Gonbach. The band was so well received, you would have thought we were David Hasselhof and his band!! Thanks John for hooking that up; it was such an emotionally and musically filling day. That gig along with my very last gig (in May)will be ones that will never be forgotten.....and probably never topped! Mark, John, Paul, Ron-nies, and Geoff you guys are fantastic musicians and I love the fact that you all are just as (if not more) passionate about making great music as I am. I hope that I can ride that last musical high for quite a while as I battle my situation here.

Though I had a great time in Germany, it was nice to get back home to see Jas and the kitties. We took a Christmas picture and I am now finishing up my Christmas cards so that I can mail them out by Saturday. I caught a cold on the way back but thankfully it is going away and I'm almost back to normal which is great because I have gigs starting tomorrow.....

Jas and I put up the Christmas tree and decorations throughout the house, and I love it. Here's a pic.
Also, here's a picture I took of Ella. She is growing like a little weed!
I hope that this post finds all of you in great spirits and health.

Thanks for stopping by!
Keisha

Oh yea . . . you rocked Gonbach! I hated to leave but my sweet 4 year old was getting ready to turn into the monster I'm very scared of. We just think the world of you and hope to see you again sooner!

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."
