A week in review....
Well besides going to uneventful work all of the past week, I also started school again. Bleh...it has been ok so far...but I'm only one week in. It's hard starting back after a long hiatus. I have a classmate whose name resembles a good friend of mine. My classmate's name is Mark FranTZen and my good friend's name is Mark FranDSen. I sent my classmate a note mentioning the similarity....and was really excited when I wrote it....he probably thinks I'm a fruitcake:) Eh well!! This past week was a short one because we had a 4 day weekend! I don't know when the last time I had a 4 day! It was awesome!
Over the weekend, I got to see a lot of my family. My cousin Steve married his Dreamgirl, Keva yesterday in downtown Chicago.
It was such a beautiful outdoor ceremony and the weather was beyond perfect for the occasion. The wedding colors were a beautiful mixture of brown and orange....perfect for welcoming the fast approaching fall season.
The reception was held in the ballroom of a library. How unique and beautiful it was! The meal was awesome and the cake was a lovely tower of cupcakes. Super cool!
There was lots of dancing and fun had by all last night! At the end of the evening as the duo prepared to take off, the few remaining guest lit sparklers to see them off.
It was such a wonderful day and I'm so happy that I was able to celebrate with them! Congratulations Steve and Keva...I love you guys!

In other news, Jas and I adopted a new kitty! She is a 3 month old CUTEY! She is all white with patches of grey which is perfect to compliment Ernie's all grey coat with patches of white. We thought we might name her Berta...you know to go along with the Sesame Street type thing...Bert and Ernie.......nevermind. Well we decided against it because it's not a cool name for our cool kitty. We, well Jas came up with Ella. I think it's perfect! As soon as I can get her to stay still for more than 5 seconds, I will snap a picture and get it posted.
Well I am beat, so I am going to go make my lunch for tomorrow, get my gym bag together and head to bed.
Thanks for stopping by!
Keisha

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."

That Frantzen must be some kind of imposter!!! What a weird coincidence. I wish we had 4 day weekends...maybe soon...or never. Still miss your soulful style and the good conversations. Good luck with school and the upcoming "run". We look forward to the post upon completion of your weekend in Ohio!
