Marathon Training is TOUGH!
Yes folks, it is TOUGH! I knew that it would be a challenge to run the amount I need to run each week, but I thought I would be okay since I'd run quite a bit before. Saturday I went out for an 11 mile run but sadly I couldn't finish it. It was so stinkin' hot and humid outside and that left me feeling so terrible. I could barely breathe because of the humidity. I started around 8 or 8:30 in the morning and at about mile 4, the temperature/humidity was unbearable. So I walked for 2.5 miles and had planned on going into the gym to run the last 5 miles on the treadmill but when I got to the gym all I wanted to do was go home, so that's what I did. I only got in 6.5 miles;( I guess I will have to start my long runs at about 6 or 6:30 to get through them.
Yesterday after church, Jas and I went to 6 Flags. The first ride we went on was the BATMAN! I love that ride! Then we went on a bunch of water rides since it was so HOT! The last water ride we got on was fun and I got SOAKED! Not only on the ride, but also when I stood on the bridge after the ride was over. Get this....when you stand on the bridge, you have to stand on the far side of the bridge next to the PADDED poles so that when the water hits you and your head flies back, you don't get a concussion....It was a great time. There is also a beach type water park there. We didn't get in the massive pool or go on any of the tube rides because we didn't have any suits but next time we'll be ready to go!
Saturday after my failed run, we went to see HANCOCK! I love Will Smith! It was a cute movie...much different than anything he's done, but I really liked it. Check it out.
Well, I have to go run....of course. Have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by!!!

Hey kieshhhhh
well sorry about your run the humidity will kill ya!! i hate it wish Jason a happy B-day for us I guess he's an old man now---haha well about trying to avoid Kiesha stories at TnG even though we said we're TRYING not to talk about you too much so Courtney doesn't feel bad....we talk about you everyday!!!and I was in the band building the other day and Ron was working on some piano thing for John and I told him I was having a very bad "missing Keisha" day so he played some of your vocals for us and we just hung out and listened to them until we were sad enough that we had to turn them off I begged ron to give me afew of your tracks on cd and he said yes even though they are not done. If it's ok with you when I get them I want to figure out how to put them on my blog I can't tell Ron cuz he'd say no until he worked on them and they were perfect so anyway glad you had fun at 6 flags John and I are headed to CT on a hop (hopefully) on the third or fourth of Aug... talk to ya soon

I didn't know that we had your voice on record, I need a copy of that too! That will be sweet, we'll leave it in the car and listen during our road trips! As for the running, I feel your pain, I can only run about 4 miles before I die so you are one up on me. Plus I always run inside so if I ran outside I would get a environment slap. Illinois is hot and humid!
You need girlfriend encouragement... here goes.
"You know you can do it, you've done it before. Remember our 10 miler in Otterberg/Otterbach and next few towns??? YOU did great... trucking along at a steady pace and keeping me going even though I had to..., well you know! Keep trying... remember to do your best than you can never be disappointed with yourself. AND, Mrs. Thang... any kind of run is never a failure; you're out there and that is what counts."
Miss you like crazy. I talked about you on the cruise and wished you were there to people watch with me. Jesse just isn't as fun!
LOVE YOU!!!!!!
