Inspired!

Well if any of you know me well, you know that I've struggled with my weight for a good portion of my life. Struggles with fitness?...nope. I love working out, and absolutely love the challenge of a great workout...but the eating has always gotten the best of me. Which SUCKS...

I have had this longstanding goal of whitling my down my body to be small enough to compete in a fitness competition. To get to that point however, I have to lose a good amount of weight. I won't say how much I have to lose but just know it's quite a bit. Over the years, I have had this goal at the forefront of my mind, and in fact I have many different fitness websites bookmarked on my comp. There are sometimes that I get to a point where I get to where I think I can do it, I'll lose weight and then for some reason, I sabotage my efforts. What's up wit dat?...I don't know for sure quite yet, but I am doing some soul searching and am finding out what the deal is...because I know that it is NOT solely about the extra snacks I endulge in every once (maybe twice or thrice) in a while. It's about something more. So, I am on my journey to figure out what that is. Stay tuned....

Hey I'm not perfect...and if you any of you are, please fill me in on your secret.

In the mean time, I am basking in the joy of J-Hud (Jennifer Hudson) reaching a goal that she has had for quite some time. She said that she is at the lowest weight she's ever been in her adult life! Congrats Jenny. You look beautiful!

Thanks for stopping by....

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."
