Busy little me....
Well busy is actually not a big enough word....
Upon our return last Sunday afternoon from Youngstown, we were both pretty exhausted. Jas had to work so he went in a little late but promptly returned home to find me snoozing on the couch. My show Desperate Housewives didn't air last week because of the Oscars so I retreated to our room and chucked away at a few more chapters of my most recent read The Friday Night Knitters Club. Cute book! I'm just about done with it, and next week will discuss it with my book club homies....there is a sequel Knit Two...which I have already purchased and plan to read during the deployment. And speaking of deployment...sheesh that has been most of what has been keeping me busy. The prep is killer, and I can't believe that in 3 weeks, I'll be out of here; it's come up so fast!
Besides out-processing stuff, we've been rehearsing lots of new tunes....some in Spanish, which I'm pretty excited about doing. The one that I'm most proud of singing bilingual is If I Were A Boy or in Spanish Si Yo Fuera Un Chico. It's been pretty fun doing a bunch of new tunes...I'm even doing a heavy ROCK tune! AC/DC's Back in Black! I like to refer to it as my scary song!! It's cool though. I think people will probably be pretty shocked to hear me sing it! I'm pretty shocked that I'm doing it! LOL...
This week my folks came down to visit and to attend Jas's promotion ceremony on Friday. It was a nice time and I really enjoyed them. My step-dad asked me if Jas's new rank would make us equal in rank and I said yes. He then said 'well now since you won't out-rank him anymore, you can't tell him what to do' to which I replied 'oh I'll still tell him what to to do!' Of course I will...but that doesn't mean he'll do it:) Thanks again Mom and Mel for coming down. It meant a lot to Jas and I for you guys to be here! Love y'all!
Jas has to be at work in an hour so I will be here the rest of the afternoon by myself. So today I think I'm gonna listen to some music and just chill out...or maybe I'll go out to get some more stuff for the deployment...or go to Blockbuster and exchange our movies out...or go for a bike ride...or mess around with my new pre-birthday gift from Jas...PHOTOSHOP...I don't know...maybe I'll jst sit here on my butt and surf the net...maybe all of the above...
Do any of you know whether or not Blogger will close my account after a specific time of inactivity? Since I won't have normal computer access during my deployment, I won't be able to blog. I would rather not have to re-do everything when I get back but I may not have a choice...
Thanks for stopping by...
