Home from school...I mean work for two days!

Thanks to the snow, we've had the past two days! Yippee!!! I have enjoyed not having to go into work and dealing with a few people that I'd rather not EVER see. Jas and I hung out at home which has been so nice since he is now working SWING shift (3:30-11:30) which means I don't get to see him. Speaking of Jas, he has been waiting for his chance to play in and admire the snow for months; and lemme tell you that he got his fill!!! We received approximately 8 inches which resulted in a bunch of accidents, stranded cars and unfortunately lots of people left without power. Let's just hope that those without power get some relief really soon! Yesterday after shoveling the driveway and in front of the driveway, where the plow came through so lovingly and pushed up a huge pile of snow remnants, the snow picked up again and surprised us this morning with a lovely coating that made it seem that he hadn't shoveled at all. And those predictable little plow folks again, lovingly disbursed a HUGE pile of compacted snow in front of our driveway again. Bless their hearts! So needless to say, Jas was out again this morning shoveling his little heart out and straining to break up the packed-in snow at the end of the drive. I am SO thankful that I didn't have to do that! But to show my appreciation, I had a nice cup of hot peppermint tea waiting for him when he finished, and I made him a sandwich. I think it's supposed to snow again before the week is out....will that mean another snow day? Well...one can only hope! Here are some snow pics I found online...none are mine. Check em out...

In other news....LOST season 5 has made it's way back to ABC! And oh my goodness is it good! I've watched for the past two weeks and there have been two episodes per week...it comes on tonight at 7:00 for another 2 episodes. God bless the writers of this show!
I'm gonna go and make some din-din cuz I'm starving! Y'all take care:)

Thanks for stopping by....

Your 2nd job is being a comedian. You are such a ham! I was looking at the pictures saying Wow they did get a lot of snow and imagining Jason all red in the face from the cold shoveling the snow thinking that if the plow truck came through again Jason could have a thrown an ice(snow)ball from nowhere at the truck for doing that. Okay that's not nice.
But then I read on and discovered that those are not your pictures.

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."
