Oh the little things...

I love fall! I think it is my favorite season. I love that the leaves go through their changes, the crisp fall air is so invigorating...I get to get out my sweaters...and sometimes buy a few more....put up my fall decorations...buy a bag of gourds just because they're cute (you're not supposed to eat em right??)...I also get to have CURRY PUMPKIN SOUP...which I made for dinner tonight, I altered my original recipe to make it a bit more...ahem... "figure friendly"...but it was still De-LISH. Another thing I love about fall are HONEY CRUNCH apples! If you haven't had any, you are missing out. I never heard of them until I moved to Germany, and saw those gi-normous, softball sized apples in the commissary. It was love at first BITE...Num-num-nummy! They are an entire meal in one! I haven't seen honey crunch apples here in the states yet, but I did pick up some HONEY CRISP apples today at the commissary. Oh man I hope they taste the same as the mouth watering "Crunch's" that I got used to having for the past 3 falls. I'm gonna try one out tomorrow...wish me luck!

I caught a picture of Ella partaking in some 'kitty grass cocktail'.
She's so cute and is growing so fast. Poor thing, she just doesn't know that she has to go to the vet next week for a little surgery....I've been loving on her more and more knowing that she has to go...poor baby. She has been extra loving too...especially while I'm doing homework. She probably senses how stressed it makes me...and she wants to do her part and comfort her mommy. Thanks Ella baby!

Well tomorrow is my 'Friday' at work because I'm hitting the road early Friday (the real one) morning headed for Dayton, OH. If I don't write tomorrow, I will definitely write when I get back from OH to let y'all know how my race went. I hope it goes well...and that the weather is nice...and that I get enough to eat...and that there aren't too many hills...and that I don't get any blisters....and that I don't look like a MONKEY when I finish, OO OOOO AH AHHHHH!!! If I do, I'll make sure that no pictures will be taken of me! Anyhoo....

Thanks for stopping by,

Keisha

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."
