I'm Terrible....

....about blogging when I'm not on a normal schedule. Other things I'm terrible about when I'm not on a normal schedule are:

Eating right
Working out consistently
Reading
Talking to my family and friends as much as I normally do

...gosh, there are too many things to list. Do you ever feel that way? If things are a bit abnormal in your day to day schedule, everything is crazy?!? I'm trying to get better about it but
I feel like sometimes it all or nothing!

Well last week as you may have read, I went on the road with the Jazz Band and it was such an incredible trip! We went up to the Chicago area and played at various town's 'Music in the Park' type of events. They were really great. The crowds were super and as we went from town to town I tried to think of anytime that my town ever had anything like that....maybe we did, but I was just too cool back then to notice them. I got to see my Mom while in the area. She came and stayed the night with me and came to a show. It's always so nice to see family! Thanks for coming mom!

Right now I am watching the Women's Olympic Marathon race and they just came up on mile 5. And they are at 29 minutes! Are you kidding me? That is less than a 6 minute mile...and to make it even better, the announcer says that this is a slow pace! My God I'm a snail compared to these ladies! I hope I don't run into any of them at my race:( Speaking of my race....I had to buy new shoes for it because I ran out of my old ones....my feet started to hurt, particularly my left arch. It wasn't easy getting them though. My normal....ahem....supplier Zappos doesn't sell them anymore!!! Can you believe that? They have every shoe ever made in existence but they didn't have my Adidas Supernova Cushion 10W running shoe! Oh my goodness I almost started to hypervenilate. I then went to trusty Amazon and they had them. I had them shipped overnight so that I could have them for my long run today. Those shoes are so awesome! It's like running on cotton balls. So today I hit yet another personal best run for distance....I ran 18 miles in 3:38! Woo hoo!! I can't believe it! Next week's long run is 20 and the following week is 22 and then I start to scale back. My race is coming up so quickly! I'm already thinking about what my next personal challenge will be once my race is over....who knows. I'm really stiff so I need to stretch some more....and I guess it doesn't help that I've been laying on the couch for the past 3 hours...DOH!

Thanks for stopping by!

Keisha, you running queen! I'm so proud of you! And yes, amazon can deeeeeliver. Glad your tour went well, but what did you expect? They would be crazy not to come out to hear your golden voice! Like the Pied Piper, had em' coming out of the cracks to listen.

Hope your grass survives!

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."
